A big thank you to all our mates who have been posting Jobs and giving us some awesome feedback. We’ve got some big changes based on this, so here’s the rundown:

Payments

Accepted Jobs –  Before, deposits were secured when the job was accepted. Now, deposits are secured:

• 48 hours before the job is due to start.
• Or; if the job has been accepted within the 48-hour of the Job Start, the deposit is secured immediately.
• If payment failure occurs, our system will attempt to secure the payment again in 12 hours’ time. Should it fail again, the job will be automatically cancelled.

This dramatically reduces the overall transaction, and time money is held against your account.

Job Posts – Cancellations & Alterations

Jobs change, and unforeseeable things happen.

We have created a feature to cancel a job, either in whole or individual days before it starts.

If a job has commenced and something changes, you can cancel future days booked as well.

Individual Day Cancellations – Cancellation Policy

If the job finishes earlier than anticipated or the scope changes, you now can cancel any future days you have booked.

The fee will be 2x hours per day, per person for cancelling. Hiya Mate will issue the Hired Tradie 2x hours per day they were due to work.

We think this is a fair balance to strike for both parties.

Whole Job – Cancellation Policy

Cancelling within 30 hours of the job start will incur a 2x Hour compassionate payment to the Hired Tradie.

Cancelling within 20 hours of the job start will incur a 4x Hour compassionate payment to the Hired Tradie.

Again, striking a fair balance between all parties is important to us.

New Profile Approval Process

We now have a manual Profile Approval process before jobs can be accepted or posted.

We will manually review all documentation provided by new sign-ups to our platform. We will work with them to ensure all documents are uploaded before a Profile is approved to work on our network.

We want you, our existing members, to be assured that we are onboarding quality and credible Tradies to our platform.

If you have already joined the platform our team has already reviewed your profile and updated what they can about your company. If you are still missing documentation, our team will be in touch to help fill out the outstanding required documentation.

We have now created a space in your ‘Business Docs’ for uploading past work so that any Hiring Company can see the awesome work you have done!
